Hi, I am Anita Mackenzie, interior designer and home stylist. I come armed with the experience of working on 70+ family homes, just like yours, across 4 countries. I currently design and style homes in both the UK and Singapore.

- Unlock your Space: a powerful “space planning” exercise that optimally zones each room, keeping in mind activities it is used for, people who use it, lighting and storage needs. Drawing up plans that make each space feel calmer and better purposed than ever before.
- Uncover your Style: a deep dive into your decor preferences and inspirations, to uncover colours, materials, and furniture that best express your unique style, so that your home makes your heart sing with joy everyday.
- Unveil your Story: an evocative exploration of your memories and mementos, passions and pastimes; helps incorporate your unique story into the design of your home, making it a reflection of your vibrant, eclectic personality.
When we allow our unique stories and histories to infuse the fabric of our homes, it ceases to be a collection of walls and objects. It instead takes on a tangible personality of its own, one that dreams, laughs and grows with us.

Stage 1: Diagnose
- Measure up your home for you and everything you wish to retain in it.
- Understand your needs from each room in your home, what works and what needs improvement.
- Identify key pieces that will need to be sourced to cater to unmet needs.
- Decode your unique style and taste using a variety of proprietary techniques.
- Explore your stories to find creative expressions for your unique personality.
Stage 2: Design
- Floorplans & Elevations: Prepare and share plans demonstrating usage of space for various family activities. Help you navigate the tradeoffs and decisions to arrive at an optimised space plan.
- Moodboards: Prepare up to 3 moodboards for each room based on inputs from Stage 1. Each comprising an inspiring idea, colour scheme, material palette and statement pieces. Help you select a top choice.
- Curation: Curate a unique selection of furniture, fabrics, paint colours, art and accessories building on your chosen moodboard (including relevant pieces from what you already own).
- Visualisation: Help you visualise the final room via a photoshop mockup. Fine tune until optimised.
- Specify Source List: Finalise each of the pieces in your design and specify your source list.
Stage 3: Execute
- Purchase all items on your source list for you and keep you posted on item ETAs.
- Liaise with vendors to develop bespoke pieces as required. *
- Frame artwork if needed. *
- Organise and brief tradesmen (handyman, electrician, wall paperer, painter etc.) as needed
- Supervise installation of art, wall storage and wall lighting.
- Style and arrange key accessories (existing and new) to best effect, once all items are received and installed.

How much time does it take
On average 3-4 room design projects take between 4-6 months from start to finish.
What the service costs
Every home is different and your context and requirements maybe unique. So I would highly recommend getting on a call with me to discuss your specific requirements and obtaining a customised quote.
That said my typical project size tends to be 3 rooms or more. Living, dining and a bedroom or two being a popular format with my clients. I have found that working on 3 or more rooms, unlocks the full value of my in-depth process. You get to see the transformational impact over a significant cross section of your lives.
I have outlined below sample pricing for 3 room projects assuming standard sizing and scope of work.
3 room projects
Singapore : S$1600/rm or S4800 in total
London: £1100/rm or £3300 in total
Larger projects would have reduced per room fees.
(Note: For UK clients based outside of London or Bristol, I offer a modified e-service at a reduced price. Do get in touch if you would like more information.)
