A. Define your personal style
Whether you are shopping for a couple of new pieces or trying to put together some ideas for revamping a whole room - it helps to be able to articulate clearly what style you like. In this workshop you will:
- Get familiarised with key styles of furniture like Scandi, mid-century, industrial, Italian, classic British, colonial etc.
- Discover where you can buy items of different styles in Singapore
- Explore my personal Pinterest boards to decode popular decor styles prevalent today
- Pin down what styles YOU connect with most strongly
- Learn how to use visual search engine Pinterest to explore and catalogue ideas
B. Working with colour and pattern
A clever use of colour in our homes can help change the mood of a room and the people who inhabit it. Moreover colourful accessories can be a very simple way to add personality to a room. In this module you will:

- Identify your 'comfort palette' for your home.
- Learn how to use the colour wheel to understand which colours work well with each other
- Explore the concept of tonal and complementary colour schemes
- Explore the basic principles for introducing pattern in your home

C. Mastering the Art of Surface Styling
Surface styling is the art of making a diverse set of items work together as a cohesive vignette. Memorable things that tell your story and beautiful things that uplift you. Books you love, travel finds, treasures you saved for, quirky pieces that speak to you, whatever YOU consider special. In this module you will learn how to:
- Focus on shape, height and colour of objects to decide what to place next to one another
- Explore the concepts of balance and asymmetry while creating unique arrangements
- Use white objects, clear glass and plants to soften and blend other items
